Willow Pool on the River Esk
It's time (now that I'm writing my novel on Merlin) to present here my up-to-date findings on this fascinating personage. This piece will likely form the nucleus of a chapter in an upcoming radical revision of THE MYSTERIES OF AVALON. 'Radical' in the sense that I intend to strip the book of its more technical elements so as to produce a more viable popular title. As my research on the various aspects of Welsh, Celtic and Arthurian myth and legend has been completed, it had occurred to me that the original edition of MYSTERIES was simply no longer a satisfactory representation of the material. Although I have not scheduled the book rewrite, my readers can expect it to be available sometime in the next year.
